All works are original concepts and designs.
This concept is derived from the graphic novel Watchmen.
The final product is distributed over two 512 maps, one set for the coat and the other for everything else. The coat was made with a Texture, Displacement and Normal map. The Normal map was really only for the fine fabric texture and the Displacement map was primarily a desaturated copy of the texture map with minor adjustments. The texture maps were poly painted in Zbrush and adjusted in photoshop. All the other objects were mapped slightly differently using a mixture of Texture, Bump and Normal.
The character is rigged and completely animatable, as he was originally intended for a rendition of a live action scene from the movie Watchmen of which you can see one scene that I've constructed but not finalised.

I was aiming for a clean entirely edge-loop model with heavy emphasis on mapping. Originally this was a 5k tri budget however due to the final product being pre-rendered I didnt see the harm in smoothing the coat to a total of 12k which is where it is now.The final product is distributed over two 512 maps, one set for the coat and the other for everything else.
